  • Keep in mind that while your emotions and feelings for your boyfriend seem very strong right now, also remember that they are being amplified by the hormones and chemicals running through your body as you grow up into an adult. Unfortunately, being separated seems hard because the feelings are so intense as well. Three months may seem like a long time, but after being married for 22 years, 3 months is not very long at all. If your feelings and love for your boyfriend is supposed to last, then it will. I'm sure that's not very comforting, but think of it this way...what if there was a guy that you were destined to meet and marry that wasn't your boyfriend, but could take care of you, love you, and cherish you your entire life. Would this Mr. Wonderful be worth giving up your boyfriend? There's a saying that goes: "If you love something, let it go; if it comes back to you, it's yours; if not, it never was."
