  • Intra usually means "within" as opposed to inter meaning "between" so intramolecular are forces holding the molecule together where intermolecular is the forces between two molecules .. an example.. the forces holding a bowling ball together (if it was one molecule) verses the forces between the ball as it strikes the pins ... is this clearer .. ??
