  • He provided the essential mathematics - namely the idea of E=Mc^2 (^2 means squared). Being a native German he was not allowed to work on the project itself. However he did "spark" the project in sending a letter to the White house stressing that Hitler was most likely working on an atomic bomb and that the USA should develop the bomb first.
  • I believe a piece of his hair fell into the bomb while he was inspecting it and the scientists mistook it for a white wire. So not only was that the discovery of the white wire but thats why we use white wires in all of our technology.
  • einsteins theories and math developed the ideas for atomic power and also atomiic destruction... he wasnt happy with the latter
  • He did contribute with some, but I dont know any details, but I'm pretty certain Niels Bohr did at least as much work on it, if not more, as Einstein
