When people put there email address in there summary on AB, why do they put spaces in it instead of just putting the correct email address?

To stop their addresses getting harvested by computers that scan websites looking for email addresses to build lists of email addresses to send spam to.

I am not aware of anyone giving a false email address on their AB profiles. Only few give it and when they do they give a correct one. Thats my experience.

It is not a bad idea. That way if someone runs software that can automatically capture email addresses, their email wont't be automatically useful to the address collector. People that have a legitimate need to use the address are usually able to figure out what has to be changed in the address in order to use it.
