Bet you I don't have one
When its all you can think about, you never back down from a bet, and you have trouble making ends meet.
Some people have to wait until the loan sharks explain it to them.
Gambling is alright, if you have a limit. When it starts to affect your life and family then that's the time to stop. It's really bad if you get addicted to gambling, you can lose everything in a blink of an eye before you know it.
the standared definition of an addiction is sometimes reduced to: when it starts to effect a relationship it has gone to far.
this is because until it hits that point it is nothing more then paying for entertainment, when it effects others you are dedicating too much to it.
bet them that they can't stop gambling for a month, worked for my friend - good luck+5.
when they give themselves a limit, and then go past it, with the hopes of winning it all back. next think ya know they lost their watch, their car, and their shirt and now their borrowing someone elses money to lose. ++
When they don't know how to say no and they spend all the milk money and it affects their family deeply.
if they spend a lot of time at the store scratching lottery tickets and getting in everybody's way
You help your four-year-old learn math by teaching her to count cards
When your addiction counselor says he thinks "the odds are good" that you will beat your gambling problem, you see it as a reason to immediately call your bookie
You lose your wife in a poker game; you lose your mistress going double-or-nothing; and now they refuse to let you bet your hooker
I had a gambling problem and thankfully got it under control. If I hadnt had my family around me to care I could have easily moved to Las Vegas and lived on the streets just to get my fix. If you see Primes answer that just about covers it all. I never went so far as to hurt others with my gambling but I sure wish I had all that money back. Am sad about that!
contact the certoon division of nevada... they make sure that all casinos have a diversity of winners.
When it's always 'Just one more bet!' or you've spent your rent/mortgage money on your habit and have a BIG headache on your hands.
Unfortunately you find out about it when it is too late.
well gambling is nothing more than a tax on people who are bad at math. so if you are bad at math and think you can beat the house, ever, then you got a gambling problem
when the money runs out?
When the Bookie has a limo waiting outside your door 24/7
When they break both of your knee caps.
when you have lost everything, even the shirt on your back, and you're trying to get a backer for that can't lose/sure bet you want to do..... oops, no that's too late.
When your spending more then you should. When your not just playing it for fun.
Its only a problem if you lose :)

* Gamble to win back money lost by gambling
* Feel depressed because of gambling
* Lie or keep secrets about gambling

Any one of these things might be a sign that you have an issue with gambling. Even if you're just a bit worried about your gambling or someone else's, it's a good idea to get help sooner rather than later.

When you think only about it and nothing else. When you go overboard and start asking for loans from your friends and relatives. When in the evening you unknowingly land at the gambling den and return home broke.
Gambling is fun...and should be done in a way so that it doesn't infringe on your life. People with gambling problems don't have a "budget" for gambling, they don't sit down and say, "I have x-dollars allotted to spend on the casino..." They are spending money they need for their mortgage. I know one lady who's husband won a $75,000 settlement from an injury...they blew that whole thing in ONE MONTH! They ended up losing their house. There is a big difference between having fun and NEEDING to gamble at all costs.
