- Do not treat your employees like children. - Do not be afraid to tell someone they are not doing their job, but give them a chance to do it. - Learn to delegate - Do not micromanage - Maintain a physical presence in the work setting, try not to disappear into your office - Occasionally, treat your employees to something nice - helps to boost morale That's all I think of right now, good luck!

Don';t let it go to your head. it's just a job. I've told more so called leaders to cram it than I have any other single group. The fastest way to lose anyones respect it to not give it in return. if you want their respect then earn it. Don't think it's given automatically because of a promotion. I have never just given respect to anyone simply because of a promotion or they're in some kind of leadership position. They have to earn it before i even consider giving them automatic respect. otherwise i just do what I have to do, but do nothing to make their lives easier in any way. Earn respect from people. Nobody above you can make anyone under you give it anyway.
