at 13 i was a newspaper carrier with 35 house' made $15 a week then at 15 i was a dishwasher at south china restaurant the hot mustard would burn my hands and when it was slow i had to peel a 50 lb bag or onions or a bucket of shrimp i smelled terrible every night i worked from 4-10 and made $20 a night this was 1985 though
I don't remember his name. I just remember the job. I spent two glorious days priming tobacco. For those of you who are not from a tobacco producing state let me explain the process. Priming tobacco is the process by which tobacco farmers remove the bottom four leaves of the tobacco plant. That means that you must duck walk along a 50' row of plants picking leaves and tucking them under your arm in 90 degree heat. You never know if it is the heat or the tar from the plants that is making you so dizzy. That was a great first job. I have not complained about another job since.
