considering "dictator" and "vote" are kind of mutually exclusive terms, it's no mystery. Does anyone consider Mugabe's "election" legitimate? Situations like this are complicated because it leaves countries with the option of doing nothing and having dictators stay in power and blame other countries for not helping or giving aid and risking it not getting to people. I think most countries take the position that it is better to try and help than to sit by and do nothing and guarantee the power of these dictator's strengthens.

There is far more to most stories of instability in African than is reported in western news. Very often, the problems and instability in Africa can be traced back to exploitation by Western powers. This is the case in Zimbabwe. Then, when all *** breaks loose, they act like they have no idea.
