Fortunately the Dems,that want nationalized medicine, are fully in power and don't even need bipartisan support and thus can ram this important issue through congress and win.Nation medicine should have been in the USA many decades ago and the republicans can no longer stop this form of health care.

Our medical care system is driven entirely by money. Those that have it and need care are the main users. Those who do not have it (children and young families) do not get priority care including well child and timely primary care for illness. Health care systems which prioritize care where we rate low, do not offer the care we can provide. The elderly rich come to the U.S. for much of their very technical and difficult surgeries and care and pay for it. As a Senior Citizen who can afford the premiums for good health insurance, I don't want to see the changes. Those at the very lowest income levels on Medicaid (welfare) who are elderly and disabled don't want to see changes either. They are the ones who get the tax payer sponsored care. Some poor children are getting Medicaid also, but those are the very lowest income levels. We are also the site of the best medical care because the best Doctors flee poor countries and social medicine countries because they can do very well in the U.S. These are all factors which deprive the working poor families and children of medical care in the U.S. One other factor which I read about recently in my newspaper. Many children in the US are not being given the innoclations for childhood illnesses out of ignorance and a false medical study. This is also rising the problems of care for children.

It increases profit and for most Republicans profit trumps health

And, of course, the result of all that great stuff is the unhappiness of the people. Here's an article that was published last week on the 10 happiest places in the world and surprise! It costs more because there is money to be made and Republicans are all about the money when not involved with their social issues.
