I do not believe that the timing on that car is 'manually adjustable' == timing is 'set' by the computer.

If your timing chain gets stretched you would be a little off timing it more than likely has to be replaced gears also have to be replaced.Costs about 114 dollars here in canada.If you do the work yourself Let me Know if this helps
