  • Mostly I am in favor of it. It's generally win-win for everyone. That said, I don't favor business practices such as undercutting rival sellers of products until they go out of business and then raising the price. That's just dirty. I lived in a small town and watched Walmart and Hastings Books take over. And it was GREAT! The mom and pop bookstore that went out of business never had anything new or interesting. They could order it of course. Four weeks. The only music they sold was about a dozen 'nature sounds' CDs. Walmart stayed open twenty-four hours a day. Before they came the only thing open that late was a 7-11 kind of place on the edge of town. Cruelly, the Walmart opened up next to a K-mart and sucked the very life out of it like some price-slashing vampire, leaving only a dry dessicated husk.
  • It's rather a good idea. Conglomeration is the first step to a perfect society.
