in over 42 years of enjoying " a smoke " I can say that it does not mess up lives, the stories I have heard of addiction as far as I am concerned are B.S. ... the ones who are so called addicted are ONLY using this as a crutch as they had problems before they ever smoked. I have never missed days at work or days at school or ever had to steal or prostitute to get weed and I can say that NONE of my friends or anyone else I know who smoke have ever done any thing like it. Now my friends range across the board in what they do for a living .. from tradesmen to lawyers to running their own companies ... they all have families which have been raised very well both financially and emotionally. So what I am saying is in 99% of cases Mary Jane does nothing except bring a little fun and pleasure BUT in 1% of cases the people who have problems with mary Jane had the problems before they ever smoked it
Its not physically addictive, but like anything - it can be, and often is, mentally addictive. Mental addiction is far harder to move past than physical. So its easy for it to screw up lives - just in the same way as alcohol.
By letting it become your life. Like folks do with other stuff: alcohol, patriotism, religion, food.
What makes you think it's not addictive? I have known plenty of people who were or are still addicted to marijuana...That's like saying fast food, a non-addictive habit, but a lot of people are addicted to fast food...Marijuana can mess up peoples lives, like Starynite said above in her post, her friend became so lazy that he did not go to work and lost his job and place, I know a few people that has happened to...Having said all of that, I do believe it should be made legal, it has a far less negative impact health wise than Alcohol and as far as medical reasons, it has a huge impact on those with health issues...
a guy i knew got so lazy when stoned he never went to work. he lost his job and flat and ended up back home. the more it worryed him the more he got stoned to chill. circle still going around for him
I declare shenanigans.
Don't try to say marijuana is non-addictive. I've seen marijuana addiction cause a college classmate of mine to drop out of classes during her senior year and become a prostitute because she no longer wanted to pay for her weed with sex.

What is the big deal about pot? I have no problem talking about the ganja. I love marijuana and it should be legal.
