My sister-in-law swears Steve Irwin (a.k.a. Croc Hunter ) does or has done the voice of the Geico Lizard.
I don't think he's ever been the voice of the Liz !
Can you help me with proof I can print and show her to be wrong ? Or am I wrong?

You remember how much public outcry there was when she first made those comments? I read yesterday that she has recently said that she is constantly harrassed and jeered at over her comments, and that people even went as far as throwing dead rabbits at her front door. She seems like an insane person to me. I find nothing she has to say, on any topic, of any interest what-so-ever, because I think that every word that spews out of her mouth is self serving and/or controversial for the sake of being so. Wow, rant over, lol.

lol i think its kind of sad really because she is supposed to represent modern women. i agree it seems that nothing productive has ever come out of her mouth, i am not suprised about the backlash that she is recieving its well deserved. her comments came at a time when an entire nation even the world was grieving. i think her remarks where not only false but they should have been kept to herself especially for the sake of Steves young family! Rant over...for now lol

I think it was very big of Terri Irwin not to release some kind of statement in regards to what Greer said. Very big. I know that, if I was in the grip of the enormous grief of losing my husband, and someone came out and slagged him - and his way of life, and his work - off, I would lose the plot. But she's probably better ignored, which is obviously what she fears, otherwise she wouldn't have to make such stupid comments. I agree that it's very sad that she is supposed to represent the modern women. I'd personally like to distance myself from her as much as possible.

Uh, you shouldn't just dismiss Germaine Greer totally for this. She did bring the feminist movement forward in a big way.

No one is doubting what Steve Irwin did to raise awareness and conservation. However, that doesn't give someone a free pass to behave any way they want to and have people agree with it just because he passed on. He died specifically because he was always tempting animals. His death itself was an accident, however it was bound to happen soon enough. He could have educated people about animals without poking them and prodding them and teasing them and trying to get them to attack him. This was completely ego and stupidity and not conservation, and he could still be around today educating people about wildlife and raising his children if he had decided to handle animals with respect and not try to constantly anger them by handling them in such a manner. Seriously poor judgement. It's sad he's gone, but one has to question his behavior and I hope people learn from this that he was absolutely not a superhero and that no human knows what a wild animal will do at all times.
