Apparently, you have a faulty 'ign. lock cyl. assembly'. A Haynes Manual'll show you 'step-by-step' how to replace, & part should be readily available (watch out for 'air bag', & I don't, in this context, mean a liberal Democrat!).
Sounds like ignition.

how to remove int. panel (front/driver) to get at lock. Can drum be fixed alone, or new only ? dont care if ignition same key

You're reading I have a 94 ex accord it turns on but once i let the key go into position it turns back off i noticed that if i turn it on and hold it i lil bit past when i open the switch it will stay on for as long as i hold the key im thinking is the ignition portion
