Question

Help answer this question below.

I had the following question on a test in AP: What is NOT in feces? a. cellulose, b. bile pigments, c. connective tissue, d. villi. Some thought c, others thought d. I can seem to find a conclusive answer online.

    Villi are in your digestive tract normally, so some might be excreted in the feces from time to time. But they are structures, not food material.

    Connective tissue binds your muscles/bones together and has nothing to do with anything you eat. Unless, of course, you are fond of eating connective tissue, which you might do if you eat meat a lot. Then I suppose whatever of it is not digested would come out in the feces too.

    And in that case, its a trick question!

    But going with the principle that you should choose the BEST answer if none are right, I would go with villi.

    Well... Cellulosa and bile pigments may be excreted, along with villi, since most of your intestines are covered with it.

    But connective tissue, should be broken down to simple materials, and reabsorbed to later on be used to build more tissue...

    we are a perfect recycling machine!

    really thats easy villi are in your small intestines the absorb minerals and nutreints to the blood which transfers through the body
