Radical. Limbaugh's job is to overcompensate with right wing views to make up for or fight the party's move to center. Of course, he's just an entertainer, not the party leader.

As I often say, don't confuse a Republican with a "conservative." Depending on perspective of both issue and time, the viewpoint changes far too rapidly (i.e. if you think abortion should be legal, you have a conservative viewpoint about current abortion law; if you don't believe in gun control you have a liberal viewpoint about that portion of the US Constitution). Radical and liberal, but their very definitions within the realm of "progress," seem to go together, so "radical conservative" is sort of oxymoronic. How about "extremist"? That certainly fits the bill for Limbaugh's Republican (extremist, not conservative, as he's advocating radical ideas and liberal thought on changing the system) concepts regarding what he'd like to see done.

While I myself lean to left side of the political spectrum I will defend some of my conservative friends. I do not think that Rushbo represents true conservatism, he is an entertainer and is only in the game to fatten his wallet. Oh my, I think I just insulted el rusbo, does this mean I have to beg him for his forgiveness

I think you just described the 'O' mans platform. RUSH IS RIGHT!
-
No just hard working Americans who don't want to pay for other peoples babies.
-
I think the views Limbaugh expresses are radical and are often, very unpatriotic to the ideals of America.
-
All Flush Limpjob is expounding upon has been done before and no doubt will be done again in the future. He is trying to rally the troops here - and in this case the "troops" are a motley collection of religious crackpots, bigots, chicken little types, and out right neocom Nazi nitwits. Joseph Goebbels he isn't - although he would like to be.

Rush Limbaugh is a whack job with a mouth twice bigger than his brain and almost as big as his belly
-
"Conservatism" has been dramatically redefined in the last decade.
-
I think it is more radical, if you listen to what he is really saying, he is basically saying that the US belongs to conservative whites, and that the culture is of conservative whites, and anybody that is not part of it needs to be discounted. he tells stories of welfare being just for minorities (not, if all the minorities in the US received food stamps and no whites, we would have about 15 million less people on food stamps)and of illegals taking all the jobs, minorities committing all the crime and selling all the drugs. the real conservatives believe in smaller government, and less regulations, and more states rights with the federal government intervening in matters that the states overstep their legal bouderies.

Wasn't he put on this earth for us to learn the meaning of hot air? Who would even consider what comes out of his mouth? I could go into any kidnergarten and get better feedback than this loathsome pig. Radical enough?
-
That does not really describe the Republican Party. The problem is the overblown blather Rush Limbaugh puts out to attract listeners. Because the GOP is on a decline due to the polices of the Bush, Limbaugh temporarily fills a void. As the GOP's biggest cheerleader (and propagandist), leaders who should know better defend him.

Sounds like democrats to me.

I don't think anyone should fall into the trap that is the left/right paradigm. They are two sides of the same coin, you know? There's the puppet on the right, and the puppet on the left. Take your choice, but they will both fill their cabinet positions with lobbyist and the highest bidders. The military industrial complex will get their wars, and the pentagon will continue to report that they cannot account for 25% of their budget (Trillions of dollars). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlnQTcLHaMM That's always gonna continue, until we shatter the left/right paradigm and get someone like Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich in office. For example, when Ron Paul ran for the republican nomination in 2008, he was singled out for being the only person up there who wanted immediate withdrawal from Iraq. 70% of "Republicans" disagreed with that idea. but 60-70% of the entire nation DID approve of it. Whatever happened to putting the will of the people before party rhetoric? It's one of the reasons we elected Obama, and now HE isn't taking all the troops out of Iraq. Were leaving 20+ military bases there. Is that really the will of the people? Do WE wanna pay for that? Obama? Care to answer that? ...no? I didn't think so. Anyway, if you know the last century's political theater, it was actually the -->republicans<--- who were elected in order to get us out of wars. This includes the Vietnam war (Nixon), the Korean war (Eisenhower), even GEORGE W. BUSH campaigned in 2000 on the message that we would be fiscally conservative and a humble foreign policy. No nation building. And the democrats have a very VERY nasty history. Cynthia McKinney was the first black woman ever electing for the house in Georgia and listen to what the democrats did to her 20 years or so ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLGkEwVH9g4 But in the last few years, many republicans seem war hungry... they stopped believing in the constitution...(ie. "pre-emptive" war, warrentless wire-tapping, torture, the list goes on). And just like the republicans are guilty of of blindly following bush, and thinking 9/11 was an excuse to whatever the hell we felt like.... democrats are also guilty of giving Obama this SAME KIND of adoration and emotional sentiment rather than logical, constitutional, and proper legislation. See... we shouldn't be playing their games. There are things that go BEYOND left/right, especially the constitution and the bill of rights. And if we would just follow that, and stop allowing businesses/corporations to have such a LARGE role in our political world, and eliminate the federal reserve and CUT FEDERAL SPENDING. We would be in a much better place, and could possibly afford things like universal health care, etc.

I think it's the type of party you'd expect to have a gay affair and than run off and unite in Mexico. In Rush's case, I think he prefers the underaged boys of Haiti. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/1473973

I think it describes Rush Limbaugh's distorted view of realist politics. There's reason he is on the radio and not in government.
-
Definitely radical! Though I tend to be more Liberal in most areas, I usually at least respect the Conservative point of view... but I cannot respect the extremist views espoused by Rush and those like him. And it really does a disservice to people like John McCain and Colin Powell. There are many decent Conservatives out there, and some of them are already in high office, but then you have these whack-jobs like Cheney and Palin and most Texans I have ever dealt with who are just SO far to the Right that any reasonable person (even some Conservatives) will vote Democrat just to avoid risking letting one have political power. The way I see it, the only difference between people like Rush and the people who flew planes into the WTC is that uber-cons pray to Jesus instead of Allah.

Radical and crazy,as if some sort of mind altering agent were involved.....
