You're reading When replacing spark plugs in a 98 taurus the owners manual says something about different number plugs in each bank. Is it necessary or can I use the same plug in both banks. The parts house lists one type of plug for this car.

This is a vulcan 3.0 98 year, waste spark ignition fires two plugs at a time, one gets + other gets - spark from what i can gather.

if I'm following the terminology right, an engine bank , is one side of it. If you pull all of the plugs and the lenght is the same you should be ok using only one type. if the length is different, it will cause problems. Is this a HO engine with 2 plugs per cylinder?
Check with the dealer, their prices have become competitive in the past few years, they should have the right plugs
