You define the range of data which applies to each axis when you first set it up. If you are modifying an existing one, assuming its not read-only, simply bring up the tool dialog and switch the ranges for each of the x and y axis.
Just like in Star Trek: "make it so". The only reason you have, as you say, "numbers in a linear separation" is because you haven't supplied any alternative to Excel. It has to graph "values" against SOMETHING.

In Microsoft Excel I need 25 hours to be displayed but when I enter 25:15 (hours:minute) it shows 1:15. Any ideas on how to fix this?

No matter what cells I select, the freeze panes option always selects the first 15 rows to freeze. How do I fix this in Excel 2010?

You're reading I'll try to ask it more clearly: (Excel Graph)-How can the x axis of the graph correspond to a row of data instead of showing numbers in a linear separation?
