Help answer this question below.
How much does Bush make a year?
No. There are many an "intelligent" minimun-wager that doesn't have confidence, drive and intent. Then you have the less "intelligent", but he/she KNOWS they can do it, and succeeds.
No, I've met some highly un-intelligent people making tons of money while the genius is mopping up at the end of the night.
Life can be a crapshoot and sometimes you don't get the recognition you deserve.
In fact, the literature doesn’t say this. Someone gave me a link to an article by Charles Murray, “Income Inequality and IQ”.
Charles Murray’s points, which are entirely supported by the GSS data, are that (1) IQ by itself is correlated with higher income; (2) IQ is correlated with higher educational attainment; (3) higher educational attainment is correlated with higher income. Clearly the means by which IQ correlates with higher income is through educational credentials; smarter people are more likely to get a college degree or a graduate degree. This is what the GSS data shows. But it’s the credential that employers seem to value and not the employee’s intelligence.
Murray’s article also has some confusing stuff about the correlation between IQ and occupational prestige. Occupational prestige is not the same thing as income. I can think of plenty of comparisons where the higher prestige job has lower pay. Most college professors are not especially well paid, but the occupation has a very high prestige. When comparing low IQ and high IQ people in the same income bracket, the high IQ person will more likely be in a more prestigious profession, so therefore IQ will have a higher correlation with prestige than it does with actual income.
The IQ literature is also full of studies which show that IQ is correlated with job performance. IQ has a higher correlation with job performance than any other indicator such as education, experience, or performance on job interviews. Some people naively assume that this means higher IQ people are paid more. But few employers actually use IQ tests to select job applicants so high IQ doesn’t help people land better jobs. Furthermore, it seems that after high IQ people get hired, their superior job performance doesn’t result in any raises or promotions.

You would think that wouldn't you, yet I have had many bosses who seem not to have a brain at all. Go figure.
No I would not say that was true, many highly intelligent people do not in fact make a great financial success of their lives. They find other outlets for their talents and are quite happy .
I dunno, many people complain their bosses are idiots...
I know for a fact in the USSR and Cuba they don't...
No. most dump truck operators earn $75.00 an hour. all thats required is a commercial drivers license and experience.
The only problem with this job, is that construction workers do not work year round, as a general rule. this money sounds great, if had occurred year round.
No. I believe more mental health inmates have higher IQs on average too.
Yes, most definitely. The "highly intelligent" people are a very small percentage of the population. They are people like Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Ludwig Von Beethoven, everyone at M.I.T. If I ever see someone of Einstein's intellect working at McDonalds I will crap myself. I would expect them to be working for the government, a computer company, or atleast teaching at some "genius" school, any of which pay better than any job I've ever had.
I read about this in a psychology textbook once. The book said that on average highly intelligent people do make more money than people with average or below average IQs. There was an article in the book which talked about a study that was conducted which found that people with high IQs were more likely to have higher paying jobs. Even though there were many highly intelligent people who didn't make much money, the majority of people with higher IQs made more than the people with average or below average IQs.
Intelligence is overrated at some of the places I have applied. Only idiots need apply here should be their motto.
I takes so much more than just being intte..intigen... smart.
nope.....
Does the ability to think on your feet indicate intelligence, knowledge or glibness? Can you tell them apart assuming they all make sense?

What do you mean "Bush destroys economies"? Our stock market is at an all time high; our unemployment is down. What economies has Bush destroyed?
