There actually are USB sound cards. I'm not suprised that qwerty was not familiar with them, as they aren't very common (and therefore not usually found at a local retail store).
A local computer shop (not just an electronics store) should have them for about 40 dollars.
If not, tigerdirect.com has a decent selection of them:

Make sure that you are actually getting an "external sound card"...and not simply a USB audio adaptor that sends the sound from your default sound card to another 1/8" jack via the USB port (which essentially just gives you an extra headphone jack sending out the same sound as the one you already have).
putting/upgrading hdware is a laptop is almost impossible, with the exceptions of HD's so if the OB sound doesn't support stereo, you need a new laptop. to my knowledge there are no USB sound devices
Could we imitate all the sounds of world here? Some samples please?

Its stock and has 6 ports in the back so what does this mean?Right now im working with a 2.1 speaker system, should i upgrade?if so to what?

You're reading DJ Dual output sound. Is there a sound card or some way I can get stereo sound out of more than just my one notebook audio line out?
