How do I change the width of the sidebar border in firefox? I want something with more girth to grab hold of.

    You don't.

    However, you can get the "Grab and drag" add-on ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1250 ) and grab pretty much any part of the *page* to get the same effect, much like Acrobat Reader.

    If the "drag & drop" method doesn't work, they have a HUGE no. of applications; search them.
