The 'engine light' didn't turn on 'out of nowhere'; it turned on because the computer detected a problem with the engine's performance. Based on what you stated, it's probably a 'mis-fire'. Step 1: scan the computer to help pin-point the problem; Step 2: fix it.
Could be something serious or it could be a knock sensor.

I have a 1989 acura integra 24 valve V6 2700 engine that is hard to start an when its started black smoke come out of the tail pipe.... WHAT IS IT?

i have a 93 acura integra 1.8l dohc and it will turn over but no spark or fuel i have replaced pretty much everything but the ecu

My 1992 Acura Integra is having a problem with the key in the ignition. I can slide the key into the ignition and start the car with no trouble, but when turning the engine off, the key frequently won’t come out easily, even after using WD-40.
