  • He/She has a statement about having a song :)
  • My inkling is to say they have a song, because everything is made up of music and rhythm on some basic and primitive level. Birds are born with songs in their tiny, little racing hearts.
  • That's an excellent question, while we know they "sing" to communicate and locate each other, we would have a hard time determining whether they decide to cut loose and just allow their song to let fly throughout the forrest. We know of things they do to survive, eat, mate, lay eggs but what do they do for themselves? From this pattern, i will venture that they don't sing for pleasure, for i cannot think of any other creature comforts that such an animal would allow itself.
  • Birds sing because they can wouldn't you
  • The birds that I've heard always have a song to sing - I love their peaceful music
  • Probably both; birds go off the sheet music all the time, sometimes even emulating other birds. That's one of the few things I actually don't like to overthink:) As long as they keep doing it, I'm a happier person for it.
  • I think they do both just like we do. Sometimes you sing to tell what's in your heart and sometimes it's just because.
