The Taliban is to Islam as the Ku Klux Klan is to Christianity
by Theby on May 8th, 2009
What makes you think Taliban conduct goes against Islam?
That was what I was told by Muslims, but not how.
by Leah on May 8th, 2009
Leah, not all Muslims share that view.
by Theby on May 8th, 2009
I know, I already did the paper but I don't sterotype people of diffrent faiths I'm going to give you another plus in case I affended you.
by Leah on May 11th, 2009
No, you didn't offend me! Salaam
by Theby on May 12th, 2009
So Theby your religion does teach that muslims should kill christians?
by Jesus is God on November 24th, 2009
It says so in the Quran. It also says in the Talmud that jews should kill christians and Muslim. The bible also instructs to kill.
by Theby on November 24th, 2009
C'mon guys, let's meet in the middle. Can we just agree that ALL religions support murder, and join hands in the spirit of mutual homicide?
by Stepper on November 24th, 2009
Show me where Jesus instructs us to kill.So you are for killing christians and strapping bombs to kids and blowing up christians?
by Jesus is God on November 24th, 2009
Jesus is God: Christins have killed people in the name of Christ, take a look at the past one thoudand years of history. From the crusades to the Salem witch triles all have been done by Christians.
by Leah on November 24th, 2009
See my point is the new testament doesn't teach killing.Jesus said love thy enemies.Just because someome claims Christ, doesn't mean they have Him.Matthew 7:21-23.See the koran teaches to kill infidels,Jesus said to love thy enemies.
by Jesus is God on November 24th, 2009
wow ! the best reply so far is from 'Stepper'. And theby why the sarcasm ?
by xccentrix on November 24th, 2009
I haven't used sarcasm.
by Theby on November 25th, 2009
so be it
by xccentrix on November 25th, 2009
Ok xcc, Where have I used sarcasm? Please tell me.
by Theby on November 25th, 2009
your nick :)
by xccentrix on November 25th, 2009
What do you mean, "your nick?" I have never heard this said before.
by Theby on November 25th, 2009
The New testament which Christians follow does bot teach us to kill anyone.
.
I think we have strayed from the the point. The point is, Theby is fine with killing anyone who isn't Muslim. Did we forget that?
by Randoley on November 25th, 2009
well randoley you are right! Thanks for reminding. Now, I'm against killing any human being. And, I'm hurt that my religion gets misinterpreted every time and I guess Theby attitude is not helping. But, please don't let a few spoil your impression on a religion that Honours and authenticates the miracles of Jesus and Moses and Noah and Abraham.
by xccentrix on November 25th, 2009
So Theby you're against cruelty to animals, but are for murdering Christians?Even though one of the cammandments is thou shall not KILL.I think maybe someone should report theby, cause he could be a danger to society.
by Jesus is God on November 25th, 2009
So you cheered when the twin tower's were destroyed killing thousands? Also the fort hood shooting?
by Jesus is God on November 25th, 2009
xccentrix, I find what you say hard to believe. I hear what you say from individual Muslims, but when I look around the world I don't see it. If I was a Muslim leader I would bombard the media every time there is a story about a Muslim father killing his child, a couple is publicly executed for holding hands, whole Christian congregations being burned alive in their church, and the Fort Hood shootings, all done in the name of Islam. Plus every war going on in the world right now was started or aggravated by people calling themselves Muslim.I don't see Muslim leaders or organizations defending themselves. Why is that?
by Randoley on November 25th, 2009
No, leader, we can't agree on that.
.
Theby's comment about the bible was equivocating. The part of the bible that supports killing is the old testament or ... big surprise ... the talmud, again.
.
The Christian part of the bible does NOT call for killing anyone.
.
So, no, leader, we can't agree on that.
.
by Ecclesiastes on November 25th, 2009
Ecc, Where did I say I agree with killing anyone who isn't Muslim?
by Theby on November 26th, 2009
Theby, you didn't.
.
Oh, and I should have directed my comment to Stepper, not leader. I erred.
.
by Ecclesiastes on November 26th, 2009
Sorry, Ecc. I should have directed my comment to Randoley. Randoley, Where did I say I agree with killing anyone who isn't Muslim? If you do not answer this and provide me with my supposed reference we will know you are committing libel. Ecc has answered about the bible killings - the old testament is still part of the bible, isn't it or has it been deleted?!

So Theby your religion does teach that muslims should kill christians?
[Theby chose Islam. Nov, 24 2009 at 04:42 PM]
It says so in the Quran.
.
Theby, I think that perhaps some may have thought that your comment "It says so in the Quran" was answering the question right above it: "So Theby your religion does teach that muslims should kill christians?"
.
If your comment related to something else, perhaps you can clarify?
by Texasescimo on November 26th, 2009
Tex, I cannot find the JIG question. In fact, I really don't know my way around AB very well even though I have been on it for a while. Can you please give me the link and I will try to answer your question?

Tex when ya get a chance check your email...... To everyone on this thread........I am not involving myself in this thread. Please forgive me.
by no_one_special on November 26th, 2009
Thanks, Tex. When Muhammad (pbuh) went to war he was instructed by God to kill unbelievers.
by Theby on November 26th, 2009
Muslims should kill to protect fellow Muslims, family, friends and property, much like Christian and Jewish teachings.
by Theby on November 26th, 2009
Theby, you said,
"What makes you think Taliban conduct goes against Islam?"
"Leah, not all Muslims share that view."
"It says so in the Quran"
So, what were we supposed to think? It looked like you were defending what the Taliban does. If you speak vaguely then people are going to come to their own conclusions.

They do anyway.
by Theby on November 27th, 2009

by Randoley on November 28th, 2009

I found this out a couple of days ago. If you are in Infadel then it is not wrong for a Muslim to lie to you. Muslims are only to be honest and respectful to other Muslims. So, If they say they are against the Taliban and Islam is a religion of Peace, how are we supposed to believe them?

Mehmed Zahid Kotku, Hadislerle Nasihatlar (Advice through the Sayings of the Prophet), "Seek honesty. No matter how much danger there may be in it, certain salvation lies in honesty. There is glory in honesty, so do not deviate from it. Lying is debased morality, so avoid it. There is nothing so fine as honesty in the life of this world. In the sight of Allah and of people, there is nothing as bad as lying."
by Theby on December 1st, 2009
Is holding back the truth or misdirecting concidered lying?
by Randoley on December 1st, 2009
When a question is asked the truth is given by Muslims. Holding back the truth when asked a question is lying. Misdirecting? I do not know what you mean.
by Theby on December 1st, 2009
I mean all of this,

theby it is only a sin for muslims to lie to other muslims bit it is ok to lie to non believers. This is the reason why you cant trust a muslim
by everton on December 1st, 2009
everton wrote "theby it is only a sin for muslims to lie to other muslims bit it is ok to lie to non believers."
.
Bring forth your proof if you are truthful.
.
The Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon him, stressed the importance of always being truthful and the seriousness of habitual lying, “Truthfulness leads to piety and piety leads to the Paradise. A man should be truthful until he is written down as truthful with Allah (God). Lying leads to deviance and deviance leads to the Fire. A man will lie until he is written down as a liar with Allah (God).”
.
The malice of lying is tied to hypocrisy as described by the Prophet, “If anyone has four characteristics, he is a pure hypocrite, and if anyone has one of them, he has an aspect of hypocrisy until he gives it up: whenever he is trusted, he betrays his trust; whenever he speaks, he lies; when he makes an agreement, he breaks it; and when he quarrels, he deviates from the truth by speaking falsely".
by JESUS-IS-MUSLIM on December 2nd, 2009
"The Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of Allah be upon him" Why do you have to say that after saying your prophet's name? To me that doesn't show much faith.
.
What everton says makes sense. If we aren't even good enough in your eyes to live, then why would you show us the respect of telling us the truth?
by Randoley on December 2nd, 2009
To Randoley..everton claims this :" theby it is only a sin for muslims to lie to other muslims bit it is ok to lie to non believers. This is the reason why you cant trust a muslim"
.
If you agree with him then you need to bring forth your proof from either the Quran or the authentic teachings/sayings of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), otherwise your words have No weight.
by JESUS-IS-MUSLIM on December 2nd, 2009
Neither do yours, if it is okay to lie to nonmuslims. I'm just going by logic.
.
Why do you all repeat blessings to your prophet after saying his name? Is it because you don't think he was good enough to elicit blessing on his own? Or is it because you don't have enough faith in your god to do what he says?
by Randoley on December 2nd, 2009
JESUS, we don't need to bring forth any proof to you at all, from anywhere, or according to anything. You might need us to, so that you can further whatever little agenda that *you* have, but you certainly aren't anyone that we have to impress or convince.
.
Nonetheless, you may listen in as we discuss proof of your perfidy:

Answerbag inserts spaces randomly into urls so I have added spaces regularly and deliberately after forward slashs. Remove them to use the link.

The word "al-Taqiyya" literally means: "Concealing or disguising one's beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies at a time of eminent danger, whether now or later in time, to save oneself from physical and/or mental injury." A one-word translation would be
"Dissimulation."
.
So from what I see from your link it is okay to lie about your beliefs as long as you don't mean it in your heart, because Allah knows a person's heart. Another thing that is opposite of what Jesus said. That prophet of their's was right on the money.
by Randoley on December 2nd, 2009
I assume you saw that the link was page one of 3.
.
Of course, once you leave such judgments in the hands of the liar, then the convenient justifications start. You can see how terrible for JESUS and even dangerous to Islam it would be if JESUS here were publicly embarrassed.
.
by Ecclesiastes on December 2nd, 2009
Randoley wrote "The word "al-Taqiyya" literally means: "Concealing or disguising one's beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies at a time of eminent danger, whether now or later in time, to save oneself from physical and/or mental injury." A one-word translation would be

.
Out of ignorance you are quoting the man-made beliefs of the shiiats sect which is not the Islam religion revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). There is NO "al-Taqiyya" doctrine in Islam. Shiiasm is a man-made fabricated faith just like the Nation of Islam (Farakan group) and Bahaism. They are not following the authentic teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him).
.
That website (www.al-islam.org) you quoted from and was posted by Ecclesiastes is a Shiiat website Not an authentic Islamic website.
.
You need to do some research about the Sects Attributed to Islam and here is an authentic website to explain this issue:

Did the Quran warn about this apostasy as the Bible did?
Acts 20:28-30 Pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the holy spirit has appointed YOU overseers, to shepherd the congregation of God, which he purchased with the blood of his own [Son]. 29 I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among YOU and will not treat the flock with tenderness, 30 and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves
2Tim 4:3-4 For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories
by Texasescimo on December 2nd, 2009

Why do you all repeat blessings to your prophet after saying his name? Is it because you don't think he was good enough to elicit blessing on his own? Or is it because you don't have enough faith in your god to do what he says?
by Randoley on December 2nd, 2009
Texasescimo ... you need first to prove to us that the Bible is really the word of God not a man-made book. Can you!?
by JESUS-IS-MUSLIM on December 2nd, 2009

Weeeell, it might not be proof in itself, but the fact that the Bible predicted that an apostasy would happen within those claiming to follow the Bible and it happened and the Quran did not predict that an apostasy would happen within those claiming to follow the Quran and it happened would at least be a point in favor in the Bible.
.
But then again, you really did not answer my question either. I just made a statement about the Bible and asked you a question about the Quran.
.
Did the Quran warn about this apostasy as the Bible did?
by Texasescimo on December 2nd, 2009
There are many prophesies in the Bible that have been fulfilled. To some, that may prove that the Bible is the word of God, for others, it want. Take the timing of the Messiah for example.
.
Daniel 9:25 You should know and have the insight that from the going forth of the word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Leader, there will be seven weeks, also sixty-two weeks.
by Texasescimo on December 2nd, 2009

Undeniable Contradictions in the Bible

QUESTION #1:

How old was Ahaziah when he began to rule over Jerusalem?

(a) Twenty-two (2 Kings 8:26).
.
OR
.
(b) Forty-two (2 Chronicles 22:2).

QUESTION #2:

(a) One thousand and seven hundred (2 Samuel 8:4).
.
OR
.
(b) Seven thousand (1 Chronicles 18:4).

QUESTION #3:

(b) Eight (2 Chronicles 36:9).

Why does the Quran say that the Sun goes on its orbits?

by Texasescimo on December 2nd, 2009
So what. What is the purpose of the Bible? Is it to tell me some useless facts about some battles and kings that didn't amount to anything? Or is it to point me in the direction of salvation through Jesus Christ? I would say those are just errors in translation, but they aren't big deals in the grand scheme of things. I can only read English, but I bet the numbers are correct in the original language.
.
That "peace and blessings of Allah be upon him" seems a bit like idolatry to me.

To my recollection, I asked:
[Texasescimo Dec, 02 2009 at 04:36 PM
"Did the Quran warn about this apostasy as the Bible did?"]
.
I also gave him an example:
[Texasescimo Dec, 02 2009 at 05:36 PM
"..Daniel 9:25 You should know and have the insight that from the going forth of the word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Leader, there will be seven weeks, also sixty-two weeks."]
.
He then follows up with questions and now makes a hypocritical rule about he who asks first should be answered first that only applies to others.

JESUS-AINT-MUSLIM, I am tying this slow cause I know you can't read fast. Why you gotta be a knucklehead? Can you not tell that I asked you a simple question?
[Texasescimo Dec, 02 2009 at 04:36 PM
"Did the Quran warn about this apostasy as the Bible did?"]
.
Now apply your rule of: "The sane person who trust his faith will first answer the questions he has been asked not answering with questions about other faiths!!"
.
If you are saying that you asked me questions first because you consider me an infidel and lyeing to an infidel is okay, then I understand. But the truth is that I asked you a very very very simple question and I asked you that question way before you asked me anything. Good night JAM
by Texasescimo on December 2nd, 2009
Tex, have you never dealt with JAM before? His tactic is to come in and try to confuse things. He always tries to turn things around so we are defending our faith instead of him answering any questions. I'm surprised he has not called us "cowards who do not trust our own Bible" yet. That is one of his favorite intimidation lines. He will try to put us on the defensive by turning the conversation into us defending our faith, and hoping we forget about his. He will lye and make things up to confuse you. I have been through it with him more times than I should. I suggest we forget it.
.
We are never going to get honest answers from him, Theby or borasalama. They are the 3 loudest Muslim mouths on AB and the most dishonest. If you want to talk to a Muslim who is friendly and doesn't try to trick you, find Ahmed_225
I've had good discussions with him.
by Randoley on December 2nd, 2009
Tex, isn't JESUS here great? Go back over the thread. Pay attention to his assumptions, both regarding his argumentation style and his station in life.
.
You should also take note of Theby. She has done something almost unheard of amongst Muslims - telling the straight up truth.
.
She used to be Christian. Evidently she hasn't completely gotten over it.

I am still waiting for any rational answer to any of my posted five simple questions!
.
Come'n -Christians- , don't you have any trust in your Bible!!? ... Don't you believe it is a Divine book!!? ...
Why no one of you -Christians- show his faith and answer those simple five questions!?
by JESUS-IS-MUSLIM on December 3rd, 2009
To those Christians who choose not to answer the questions they're asked about their faith, I'd like to remind them that it is obligatory to answer my questions as your Bible orders you (unless you don't trust the Bible!):
.
"But dedicate your lives to Christ as Lord. Always be ready to defend your confidence in God when anyone asks you to explain it. However, make your defense with gentleness and respect." [1 Peter 3:15] [God’s Word]
.
"but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:" [1 Peter 3:15] [American Standard Version]
.
Notice that your Bible orders you to answer the questions and defend your faith with gentleness and respect.
by JESUS-IS-MUSLIM on December 3rd, 2009
JESUS, the Bible doesn't obligate me to answer you. I am obligated to love you.
.
In answer, generally to your 5 simple questions: I don't know.
.
There. You are now answered.
.
I, however, have no questions for you. I am to love you as I do myself. Were I obligated to mislead, as you are, I wouldn't want anyone to ask me anything.
.
by Ecclesiastes on December 3rd, 2009
Ecclesiastes ... Thanks again for proving my point regarding your lack of trust in the Bible.
.
"But dedicate your lives to Christ as Lord. Always be ready to defend your confidence in God when anyone asks you to explain it. However, make your defense with gentleness and respect." [1 Peter 3:15] [God’s Word]
by JESUS-IS-MUSLIM on December 3rd, 2009
I don't know how you get that I haven't trust in the Bible. The Bible says two different things, according to your citation. I trust both equally, which means I don't know. It's a matter of the number of horses, which, morally, is unimportant.
.
Further, my answer is both gentle and respectful, so I have followed the rather more important guidance of Bible.
.
You are wrong.

Interesting what information you can find with a computer. Without even have read the Quran, one can find doctrinal discrepencies.
NO COMPULSION IN RELIGION?
Perhaps the most obvious example of discrepancy in the Quran is in the matter of compulsion in religion. Note the following forbidding compulsion: “Let there be no compulsion in religion.” “Thy duty is only preaching.” “We have not made thee keeper over [the Unbelievers].” “What! wilt thou compel men to become believers? No soul can believe but by the permission of God.” “Thy duty is to make (The Message) reach them: It is our part to call them to account.” “Obey not the Infidels and Hypocrites—yet abstain from injuring them.” “Summon thou to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and with kindly warning: dispute with them in the kindest manner.” (Sura 2:256; 13:40, Ali; Sura 3:19; 6:106, 107; 10:99, 100; 16:126; 33:44, 47, Rodwell) Surely the foregoing are unequivocal and in harmony with the principles of justice.
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
But how can we harmonize the foregoing with the following texts commanding the use of force in religion? “Fight for the cause of God against those who fight against you: Kill them wherever ye find them . . . Fight therefore against them until there be no more civil discord, and the only worship be that of God.” “I will cast a dread into the hearts of the infidels. Strike off their heads then, and strike off from them every finger-tip.” “Believers, wage war against such of the infidels as are your neighbors, and let them find you rigorous.” “And when the sacred months are passed, kill those that join other gods with God wherever ye find them; and seize them, besiege them, and lay in wait for them with every kind of ambush: but if they shall convert, and observe prayer, and pay the obligatory alms, then let them go their way, for God is Gracious.”—Sura 2:186-190, 212, 213; 8:12; 9:5, 124; 47:4, Rodwell.
Indicative of the kind of reasoning used by Muslim commentators in endeavoring to harmonize these texts is that of Râzî’s comment on one of the foregoing: “‘Abstain from injuring them’—that is, leave it to God to punish them, either at your hands or by hell fire.”
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
Se what I said about him? He is doing exactly what I said he would do. Every conversation that he enters ends up the same. Even when he is exposed, he just goes right along with his usual pattern. You are so predictable JIM.
.
I did answer your questions, but since that does not fit into your tactic of accusing and misdirecting, my answer is conveniently ignored in favor of, "I am still waiting for any rational answer to any of my posted five simple questions!
.
Come'n -Christians- , don't you have any trust in your Bible!!? ... Don't you believe it is a Divine book!!? ...
Why no one of you -Christians- show his faith and answer those simple five questions!? "
.
I told you all that this is how it would go with JIM. It will keep going like this do not expect anything productive.
by Randoley on December 3rd, 2009
Thanks for the heads up Randoley. Yes, I have dealt with him at least once before. I gave a peaceful answer and he came in and made an arrogant challenge. It appears he needs a bunch of commands like "do this" "do that" or "don't do this" "don't do that" with no room for discernment, thinking, or reasoning.
He likes to use 1 Peter 3:15 as if it is a command to keep argueing with people who don't want to listen and as if you are not to eat, drink, or sleep until everyone agrees with you. He does not see the balance in other scriptures.
.
Matt 7:6 “Do not give what is holy to dogs, neither throw YOUR pearls before swine, that they may never trample them under their feet and turn around and rip YOU open.
(Proverbs 9:7) He that is correcting the ridiculer is taking to himself dishonor, and he that is giving a reproof to someone wicked—a defect in him.
(Proverbs 15:12) The ridiculer does not love the one reproving him. To the wise ones he will not go.
(Matthew 10:14) Wherever anyone does not take YOU in or listen to YOUR words, on going out of that house or that city shake the dust off YOUR feet.
(1 Timothy 6:4-5) he is puffed up [with pride], not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions, 5 violent disputes about trifles on the part of men corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth, thinking that godly devotion is a means of gain.
(2 Timothy 2:14) Keep reminding them of these things, charging them before God as witness, not to fight about words, a thing of no usefulness at all because it overturns those listening.
(2 Timothy 2:23) Further, turn down foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing they produce fights.
I found where we talked before. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7225766
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
I can sure see the wisdom of the scriptures. This time I did not follow the scriptures and they proved true. Done went and produced a fight and I called him names.
.
Was my original question really that offensive? After he identifies who are true muslims and who are not I asked him a legitimate question that was not meant to provoke and that still has not been answered:
[Texasescimo Dec, 02 2009 at 04:36 PM
"Did the Quran warn about this apostasy as the Bible did?"]
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
That is because Islam is all about commands and "do this" and "do that" He doesn't know any other way. He doesn't understand the freedom to think for ourselves and to weigh the teachings of Jesus and the words of God to see what they mean. He only understands slavery to a religion.
by Randoley on December 3rd, 2009
I looked into the first one of JAM's insincere questions. You were apparantly right Randoley. The discrepency appears to have been caused by a smudge at 2Chron 22:2. Modern scholars recognize that and translate it as twenty-two. NIV as a footnote gives an explanation about some manuscripts saying 42.
.
Youngs literal
2 Chronicles 22:2 A son of twenty and two years [is] Ahaziah in his reigning, and one year he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Athaliah daughter of Omri
2 Kings 8:26 a son of twenty and two years [is] Ahaziah in his reigning, and one year he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Athaliah daughter of Omri king of Israel
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Chron%2022:2;2Kings%208:26&version=NIV;YLT;NCV;ESV;NASB
.
No contradiction.
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
Haven't found anything concrete on his second contradiction. On his 3rd, it appears another copyist error 2Chron 36:9 in many Hebrew copies of manuscripts. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Kings%2024:8;2Chron%2036:9&version=HCSB;NIV;NCV;ESV;KJV
.
On number 4, I think that most anyone who knows anything about the Bible and Jewish inheritance should know that.

.
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
On number 5, I found a couple of possibilities.
.
(Lah′mi) [My Bread].
The brother of Goliath the Gittite. The account at 1 Chronicles 20:5 reads, in part, “Elhanan the son of Jair got to strike down Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite,” during a war with the Philistines. However, in a parallel text at 2 Samuel 21:19 the reading is: “Elhanan the son of Jaare-oregim the Bethlehemite got to strike down Goliath the Gittite.” In the latter text it appears that ’eth-lach‧mi′ (in English, “Lahmi,” the Hebrew term ’eth merely denoting that Lahmi is the object of a verb) was misread by a copyist to be behth hal‧lach‧mi′ (“Bethlehemite”). Therefore the original probably read, “got to strike down Lahmi,” just as the parallel text at 1 Chronicles 20:5 reads. This would make the two texts harmonize on this point. Lahmi, then, was evidently the brother of the Goliath that David killed. On the other hand, it is possible that there were two Goliaths.
.
(Ja′a‧re-or′e‧gim).
A name appearing only at 2 Samuel 21:19. It is generally believed that scribal error has given rise to this name and that the correct reading is preserved in the parallel text at 1 Chronicles 20:5. “Jaare” is considered to be an alteration of “Jair,” and “oregim” (’o‧reghim′, “weavers” or “loom workers”) is thought to have been copied inadvertently from a line below in the same verse.
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
Either way, the internal harmony of the Bible over some 1500 years, by some 40 writers is impeccable, despite some scribal errors in copying numbers. I could copy an English translation of the Quran and would probably make a few errors on accident. Would that change the message? Would that stop suicide bombers from blowing up busloads of kids or flying plane loads of people into buildings?
.
Funny thing is, it appears that just being in one life span and inspired by one man, there are plenty of donctrinal contradictions on its own.
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
No one will answer the questions that I asked first. Not one so called Christian is brave enough to take my challenge!! You do not trust your own "divinely" inspired book! You are all cowards who can't answer a simple question!!!! Blah blah ! Blah! Yakity Yak!
.
Just thought I'd beat JIM to it before he comes back.
by Randoley on December 3rd, 2009
Still no true christian has any tiny faith or trust in his/her Bible to rationally answer my simple questions!!!!?
I will repeat posting them:
.
How can the Bible be a Divine book when it contradicts itself like this !!?

Here are few examples out of many:

Randoley, you hit the nail on the head. He came through with his antagonistic arrogant challenges: "Still no true christian has any tiny faith or trust in his/her Bible to rationally answer my simple questions!!!!?"
.
I thought that I did respond to them, but then again, I thought my question at [Texasescimo Dec, 02 2009 at 04:36 PM] was asked before his first question at [JESUS-IS-MUSLIM Dec, 02 2009 at 05:42 PM]
I will ask again,
"Did the Quran warn about this apostasy as the Bible did?"
.
Now please apply your wise counsil of:
"The sane person who trust his faith will first answer the questions he has been asked not answering with questions about other faiths!!"
.
Of course if you are not sane or if you don't trust your faith, then I will not think you are a hypocrite for not answering the question you have been asked, but then again, I think that Randoley asked you a question too.
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
Texasescimo ... we are not in a game or a war waiting to celebrate the winner. WE are here seeking the Truth. If you can not defend your Bible/faith then that's okay because no Christian does until now!

I am trying to help you in your attempt to defend your Bible and for this I provide you with this # 1 Bible search Christian website:
So, if you have doubts about my quoted passages and claimed biblical contradictions, check them yourself, Search the Bible in over 40 Languages and all Bible versions here http://scripturetext.com/

What does this mean? "The sane person who trust his faith will first answer the questions he has been asked not answering with questions about other faiths!!"
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
Don't provoke my into calling you a knucklehead again. I asked you a question way before you ever asked me a question. Any sane person can see that. I have also answered your questions.
.
This was my question:
Texasescimo Dec, 02 2009 at 04:36 PM
Did the Quran warn about this apostasy as the Bible did?
.
This was your answer:
JESUS-IS-MUSLIM Dec, 02 2009 at 05:03 PM
Texasescimo ... you need first to prove to us that the Bible is really the word of God not a man-made book. Can you!?
.
You did exactly the oposite of what you claim to live by: "The sane person who trust his faith will first answer the questions he has been asked not answering with questions about other faiths!!"
by Texasescimo on December 3rd, 2009
I predicted this one didn't I?
.
Tex, I have been caught up in this endless loop before. Anybody with eyes can see that all 3 of us have answered his question. He doesn't read other posts or just pretends not to in order to avoid answering any questions addressed to him.
.
I'd give up if I were you. It will just keep going in this circular motion until you just leave.
by Randoley on December 3rd, 2009
I hearby declare JESUS-IS-MUSLIM to be a bot.
.
by Ecclesiastes on December 3rd, 2009
I probably should leave now as the Bible is correct in what is said at 2Tim 2:33. He done made me call him a knucklehead. If he follows through with another: "Still no true christian has any tiny faith or trust in his/her Bible to rationally answer my simple questions!!!!?", I will probably take my leave. He has shown no scriptures or any type of disposition to attract anyone to Islam.
If he lets the love that Jesus showed affect his personality and finds a mild way of answering my question up above, I might try to have a conversation with him.
(2Timothy 2:23) Further, turn down foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing they produce fights.

Just saw the news this morning. Wonder who it was that just blew up a mosque and killed at least 30 people? Was it the real ones or the counterfeit ones that did this heinious crime? I guess it don't matter as the Quran does not make a distinction. Misled or not, they still did not deserve to be blown up.

How did this conversation go from "Does the Taliban follow Islam" to "Christians are cowards and can't defend their Faith"? It's always the same thing with JIM.
by Randoley on December 4th, 2009
I don't know, but watching the news kind of puts it back into perspective.
.
Do you know from other conversations if JesusAintMuslim agrees with the Taliban? I would ask him, but I don't think that I would get a straight answer.
by Texasescimo on December 4th, 2009
Texasescimo, there is an argument for those mosque victims deserving death.
.
They are the avowed and faithful brothers of the Taliban. Oh, they don't like being killed and what not, but NEVER do they say that the Taliban aren't Muslims. They NEVER say that the Taliban are infidels: "In the Islamic doctrinal sense, the term refers to a person who does not recognize the one God (Allah) - which includes atheists and polytheists ..." - Wikipedia
.
They will only say that those Muslims are misled, not that their faith is fundamentally different and alien, as they would about a Shiite.
.
Those people in the mosque are "victims" of their own faith.
.
by Ecclesiastes on December 4th, 2009

The Taliban's conduct doesn't go against Islam ... according to the Taliban. In fact it is Islam in its most pure form.

I wouldn't expect a substantive answer from a Muslim on this question. The prohibition against accusing another with shirk, the abandonment of the faith, is pretty strong.

3 Things the Taliban do which have no precedence in Islam
1. Keeping women uneducated.
2. Killing noncombatants
3. Killing other Muslims ie. tribal disputes
Unfortunately I dont think these issues are addressed in the Quran. Islamic experts would turn to the hadiths(traditions and sayings of Muhammad) to gather information regarding these issues. A muslim layman(regular joe) should refer to an expert/scholar for rulings regarding these or any any issues pertaining to Islam. Try a site called Fatwaonline.com or something of the sort.

Very nice readings...it is funny how in America if you are not Christian....then you are looked upon as the enemy of Americans....so much against what our founding fathers based this country on. It is a shame that Americans are being fed this by the talking heads....the melting pot seems more like water and oil when it comes to religion.

by Eclipse sleeping by moonlight on May 9th, 2009
You are joking, right? She is an uneducated and very angry apostate. Don you have her address? LOL...
by Theby on November 24th, 2009
Most converts are VERY uneducated and angry about the religion they left. It's a charge that could even be leveled against you, Theby - though 'slightly embittered' might be a more accurate description of your feelings than actual anger. But as for education, I'm willing to bet you never studied a single Biblical commentary or systematic theology (least of all one by a conservative Christian scholar), nor read any of the Patristic writings, nor the great apologetic works from Aquinas' Summa Contra Gentiles to the more modern works of Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, or Francis Schaeffer, and you've probably never heard of Alistair McGrath, William Lane Craig, or John Warwick Montgomery.
by Razzle-Fratchit on November 25th, 2009
I am not bitter about having been a christian. Why should I be? I am just happy I have found the right religion for me. I have read the bible several times. I never did any further investigation since what is contained in the bible made no sense to me. I was not about to seek others' opinions when I had read the book myself and did not agree with it. By the way, I was referring to scholastic education not religious education.
