You're reading I have windows ME and want to do a new installation of windows XP home edition. would XP make my computer run faster, say for games, videos, etc?

thankyou. but just a question, if my sys spec are right, like u said, will my computer run a little faster?

Not necessarily faster, but probably more stable. You'll also find that Microsoft will probably stop supporting ME in the next while, so updates and drivers will become harder to find. A better way to speed up your system might be to add more RAM; I ran XP with 2GB and the improvement in speed in going from 1GB was very noticable.
