In my opinion, both are masters, and have many admirers, but Wright's work encompasses many decades, styles and is generally considered more influential, therefore a more recognizable name by the general public, if we use that as a measuring unit of popularity. Here's some info on both of them and some pictures. Frank Lloyd Wright: http://www.greatbuildings.com/architects/Frank_Lloyd_Wright.html Pictures 1) "Fallingwater" 2) Johnson's Wax building (interior) 3) Guggenheim Museum, NY. Eero Saarinen: http://www.eerosaarinen.net/eero_saarinen.shtml http://www.greatbuildings.com/architects/Eero_Saarinen.html pics. 4 and 5) TWA terminal 6) Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Mo. Edit: I'm having lots of problems with the uploading of images, but in the meantime, if you click on the links you can see many pictures of buildings by those two.

He is much more popular in crossword puzzles along with his father Eliel. You hardly ever see Wright in the crosswords!

Most have seen the Gateway Arch, many have seen the TWA terminal. While both were incredibly influential and their works ranged from chairs to churches and beyond, there were some dramatic differences. I think to illustrate it most simply, I will use their chairs as example. Wright seemed more concerned with how the chair was going to fit the design, Saarinen seemed more concerned with how the chair fit the body...
