Why is everyone freaking out over the swine flu? It's just another form of the flu and the flu has been around for as long as I can remember. The media is putting emphasis around deaths caused by the swine flu but there have always been deaths by the flu.

It's always been part of human nature to want to come up with the worst possible scenario imaginable, even if it's not nearly as bad as it sounds. You're right, this strain of flu is acting no different from the regular flu, so there really is no reason for people to freak out.

Once again their is a dangerous disease amongst us. The reason they are so worried is the ability to contain the problem and keep it from spreading more rapidly than expected. The flu is and can be widespread killing more people than neccessary.
