Has anybody here on Answerbag ever read the "Left Behind" series? what did you like about them the most?

I have only just started the series. I read the first book and part of the second. Honestly, I couldn't put it down! I finished the first book in three days and went out and bought the next one right away. Awsome books so far!! :)

I read the first book just before I "got saved". I thought, "Oh my God! What if this is true?" So, I started investigating. I read the Bible for the first time. I eventually decided I didn't want to be left behind. I was disappointed in the following books, however. Still, they were part of the reason I began searching in the first place.

I have read all the books in the Left Behind Series, including the three Prequels. I loved them, I thought they were wonderful. The main reason I loved them is because there have always been parts of the Book of Revelation that confused me, and the LB Series illustrated things quite well. Also, there are events mentioned in Revelation that I have always wondered how (they) would be manifested and things like this played out pretty believably in the LB Series in my opinion.

Im currently on the last book in the series. I thought they were great becasue they stregnthened my faith and made me more eager to see Jesus in heaven. A Must Read for any Christian...

I started to read them, but I needed a more interesting fiction book, so a thesis on vampirism from a friend of mine won out. Wasn't thrilled with what I read, wasn't pulled into the plot.

I read the series and I loved the detail with which the writer described the events of the tribulation. I've never understood Revelation, but after reading the books i feel like i know exactly what will happen, or what may happen. Reading the books also made me more enthusiastic to read the bible and learn about God, because the books do a great job of showing how God fulfils prophisies that were proclaimed in the Bible.

I loved the movies - and I think Nicolae Carpathia is a great evil sounding name. Personally, I viewed this as fiction, not a religious scare tactic about being saved. I'm not even Christian but loved the stories.

Haven't read them, but I saw the 1st and 2nd movies about the books (Though they all miss points) but FANTASTIC movies...Good acting too!

I read them. They read like juvenile fiction.
