I am looking for a free software which can simply put passwords on folders without the need of encrypting it

    http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/
    go down the page to PC access control>CompuSec PC Security Suite and look at that program
    or File Encryption Tools>AxCrypt

    if not check out some of the other programs maybe one will fit your needs, this site is safe and virus/spyware free

    What good would it do to have a password on the files if they weren't encrypted?
