60 F. during the day and 56-58 F at night.

With our style furnace it works by heating the room to above the set temperature and then as the room cools, turns itself back on at the set temperature. So 60 F actually gets up to around 65 F, etc...

I use a space heater in key rooms. It is probably about 80 degrees in those rooms.

There isn't much in terms of thermostats in tropical climates on this side of the world. All I need in the winter is a single 500w space heater. Generally the temperature will never drop below 15 (59F), and is normally up around 20-25 (68-77F), so when it's a "cold day" - i.e. below 20 (68F) I'll use my space heater in my living room when I'm in it hanging out to keep it closer to 23 (74F). To think, I used to be a snowboarding instructor...

The higher the thermostat, the higher the bill.

We have experimented with different temps. throughout the years and have concluded that 71 degrees is the most comfortable and affordable setting.

Where a person lives would also have a bearing on the setting.
