Besides the fact the third baseman makes a mental error in throwing to home instead of first, it's still a fielder's choice.........when the play is over, the batter is not at first base since the inning is over, even if the tag out at home is successful and the inning isn't over, the batter still does not get credit for a hit.

You're reading Baseball question #2 ? There are two outs and runner at third. The batter hits a fair ground ball to third and runs to first. . Does the batter get credit for making a hit if he tags first base before the runner at third is thrown out at home? thanks:)
