How do I find out which restaurants the health inspectors are happy with and unhappy with?

    There is usually a rating system that is available to the public. Ours have inspection cards displayed in the window, but it's also online at city/county website.

    In the UK, our local authority has all the info on their websites (dur to the freedom of information act) I use it all the time and sometimes it is so surprising which of your fave restaurants have terrible ratings! I would assume there is something similar in the US. Maybe google it? Or find your local authority website?

    The County Health Department conducts health inspections. In some states this information is public or even posted in the restaurants. In others, it's hard to get to. In Allegheny county, for instance, you have to request reports from specific restaurants and pay for the copies to be mailed to you. In any case, check the website for your local county health dept. as a starting point.

    google "restaraunt inspection" + "(your state)", it should give you a link for info on restaraunts in your state
