Oh no!! I missed it!! What is the rest of the story Chicago Lady? Is it what Ed commented? Ed, I will have to put a big note on my refrigerator for The Belmont on June 6th.
Mine That Bird, the Kentucky Derby winner, came in 2nd place.
You are kidding me. That is so exciting. That little guy is one special horse!!

I think so but I don't know the amount. I was watching the race and couldn't believe how "Mind That Bird" came out of nowhere at the very last. Thank you, Thunder_kiss_65!!

It was awesome!! My husband just said a $2.00 bet 50:1 would be $100 but that doesn't sound right. Maybe someone else can answer..I don't know. Thank you Simply99!!!
Yeah, that's right. $100.00 on a straight bet, if you locked in at 50/1 odds. I meant to say a superfecta bet. If you bet to pick the win and show and get it right, that's exacta. A trifecta is betting on the first three to cross the line. If you could have correctly picked who came in first, second, third, and fourth in a Superfecta bet, a two dollar ticket is now worth in the 7 digit neighborhood.
I didn't know all of that. Thanks Simply99. Somebody got rich!!
