According to the calendar hanging on my wall, the world will end on December 31, 2010. Because that's the last date on my calender.

No, I heard the Mayan Calendar was made so when it got to 2012 there simply was no more room to Continue it...Don't worry.

BUT : anything that could end the earth in a day would kill ya in seconds (You wouldn't suffer)

I honestly don't think it's going to happen. Scientists said the world was going to end plenty of times and it never did.

O yes, just as it has ended with every similar prediction in the past. Luckily, I have The Answer. Just sign over all your worldly possessions to me (since you won't be needing them), and prepare your spirit for the Great Beyond.

Probably not.

Some Mesoamerica civilizations believed it will be the end of an age and beginning of a new one, and not the end of the world.

I'm sure it'll come and pass just like 2000 did :P

Of course the world is not going to end. Man have been saying that since the beginning of time. Also, if the world does end 2012 that will prove that the bible is inaccurate. Pretty much I am saying wrong.

Who knows? I don't know, you don't know, therefore no one knows. I base it off of what the bible says. The bible says in Matthew 24:36 "No man knows the day or the hour that the son of man shall come, not even the angels in Heaven nor the son, but God himself". As a Christian I hold to those words and I stand on that. If no one knows, then it is futile to even guess because every single time, those who guess will be disappointed and end up being proven wrong..

No one knows for sure when the world will end. Just live each day as if it was your last and don't worry about the end. Otherwise you will never be happy.

If one is talking about lizard people and space
ailiens and calenders and ufo and spidermans
attempt to save us or an asteroid hitting the
earth well, sorry 2 dissapoint u all but no
deal however, if we're talking about a reavelation
of horendus proportions and no not a religious
reavelation, but one which can only happen if
people in there arrogance and sarcasum that
we americans r well know 4, think that it will
not happen cause we're above it, THINK again
oh noble ones, cause the world it's self isn't
gonna end in the physical sense, but our way of
life as we know it is being rearranged right under
our noeses as we speak, but worry not 4 you'll
not look the fool by not knowing these certain
people or being familiar with there names when exposed,
in fact we may all be shocked to know we may have voted
4 some of them in the past, well, i didn't, you see i
realized at a to early age and in a traumatic way,
that u don't kill a president cause u were fucking pissed
off one morning because your coffee u bought at starbucks,
wasn't exactly 2 ur liking so u decided 2 assasinate a
president 4 it, no the world won't be ending any time soon
people, but as 4 us and more important our kids and there
kids & families in general well, who know's? hey look
on the bright side least we can't say we wern't warned,
right? a lot fairer break than what we gave Native Americans,
when we pale face asholes step on there land, for the first time :)

Just like it was supposed to end the last billion times the end was predicted. I think it's funny that people believe this based on the end of the Myan calendar. When does your calendar end? I get a new one every year and nothing ends. I just have to buy a new calendar.

one should be content with knowing that every living thing dies.
so inevitably there will be thousands of deaths in 2012... so to some yes.

But the world, will not end. that is too dramatic.
Its too egocentric.
Even in the unlikely event that mankind is killed off. the world will continue to march around in its cosmic dance with the sun. hence, no the world will not end in 2012.

Not likely.
NASA was saying polar shifts in 2012 which would mean some tidal waves and esrthquakes for sure.
However they are saying a lot about how other things past that time are going to happen and that we are going to be witness to it,
so if NASA were your divining tool for the future,
they seem to think that we'll be around.
only there might be some changes though...

My point is whoever dreamed that up was doing just that, dreaming. So live like the world is ending, but please don't worry yourself over it.
