Both. I hang my clothes outside if the weather is nice. I do not hang some of my clothes or any of my daughter's under garments - she feels embarrassed.

Both. I dry undergarments, towels and socks in the dryer. Everything else gets hung.

Hang them outside when the weather's good - they smell so nice dried in the fresh air and it saves electricity too.
-
A bit of both! Hang them out to get them mostly dry or I hang them on the horse if the weather is bad. Then finish them off in the dryer to get the softer feel

At my own home I use a clothesline whenever it is dry enough, not too windy, and when I will be around to bring the laundry back in. I use the dryer when I have to. I have an extremely well made clothesline that runs from my back porch to a tree, and the porch door is just a few steps from my laundry room. I have a strong hospital cart with big wheels that can roll back and forth, even over the threshold, to make moving the laundry easier. When I am traveling or living with my friends I use a dryer.

dryer...when we had the power out for a couple of weeks after hurricane Isabelle, i hung my clothes out, and while they smelled good, they became very stiff and scratchy...

The dryer even on the warmest, driest days. At least they won't get bird poo on them.
-
I use the dryer for most of my clothing unless it calls for hang dry.
