I asked a question today about people blaming others for keeping them on the phone and no one answered it. To me it is like blaming others for keeping one busy on Answerbag. What do you think?

• Indeed. I try to avoid the "victim" mentality. I am a pretty tough old bird...and been around the horn more than once. I only blame myself if I get screwed very bad. I know better.

• Very true, Mrs. Cleaver, except that today, it is raining again. So, I can't do anything outside. I have "chosen" to sit at my PC with a few logs on the fire for atmosphere and just have some cyber-social fun. Who shall nay-say me? (he waxed Shakespearean)

• How can someone blame another for keeping them on the phone? Surely, they just have to say 'I have to go now, goodbye' or 'I can't talk right now, goodbye'? How can anyone blame another person for making them do anything (unless you're held hostage)?
  .....They think that they are helpless, when the choice has always been theres to make. I think some are afraid to hurt someones feelings, so they keep talking....
