All the 12 steps are impossible to follow for any ordinary mortal.
Being a member of AA for over 6 years now I could say I have followed about 4 steps most sincerely.
The remaining I am not sure I will be able to complete within this lifetime.
But that doesn't really matter. What really matters is that the four steps that I have been able to follow, starting with admission of alcoholism, I have been able to stay away from alcohol.

I think that they are helpful to some people but not all as everyone is different and what works for one will not work for all.

The 12 steps, 12 traditions and 12 concepts have created a mircle in my life. That one day at a time, I am happy, joyous and free.
I am a man that should be dead, but live today free to experience the mircles of life, and to have a relationship with a God, that is mine that I believed did not exist when I started this journey.
