  • Thanks for sharing. The first thing I'd recommend is, consult a good doctor.Get him diagnosed. He needs medical attention.102 is not a very big fever but,it can't be ignored even.Make sure he is consuming hygenic stuffs.Water should be germ free and keep the surroundings clean. Wishes.
  • 102 is severe, you need to lower the temperatuer to prevent mind altering states, which can be damaging if left un lowered. Bring the body temperature down by bathing in luke warm or mild chilly water, ie: with a cold fannel on the body or head, have a fan blowing on the childs body, lowering the temperature, make sure you do not have pj's or blankets covering the child, keep them cool and with air circulating, they will get chills, and want to be warmed, but only allow this for short time frames, making sure you lower the body temperautre. You may see hallicunations and rigors in the child with a temperature that high. Panadol or paracetamol is effective in lowering the body temperature, make sure you FOLLOW THE STRICT DOSAGE guidelines.
  • Go to he doctor.
  • I would recommend taking him/her to the doctor, or at least call and see what they say. Best to get medical advice from an MD, especially for your child. Hope he/she feels better soon.
  • My family had something like that, started off with sore, scratchy throat, 101 0r so fever, seemed like flu within a day but no vomiting or stomach problem, we felt like we were starving the whole 4 days, then thick mucus at the end, even the baby did ok with fluids and baby tylenol cold multi symptom meds, she was sick longer though
