even If it is more than one bottle, you can wrap each in a plastic bag then wrap a towel that you have wet and put in the freezer. This protects the bottle(s) from clanking around in a cooler and protects the label from moisture.

Any open containers of alcoholic beverages have to be stored in the trunk while driving otherwise it's illegal. But if it's still sealed, it depends on how soon after arriving at your destination you want to drink it. White wine is drunk cold, so if you are drinking it immediately, you will have to store it in a cooler box with ice. If you won't drink it immediately, just put it somewhere in the shade so it's not boiling and if it's hot in the car, turn the A/C on.

Try to keep it somewhere dark and cool. The trunk, unless you are going to be driving in hot weather. If it's going to be hot outside where you are traveling keep it in the car with you where there is A/C, underneath a towel to keep it out of direct sunlight.
