Does it look like this photo?

If it does, then it is a "natural sign" (♮) used to cancel a flat or sharp from either a preceding note or the key signature.
What is this piano note called and what does it mean i have to do with the note?

It's a natural sign. It means that you play the note natural instead of flat or sharp.

For example, in the key of F, there is a B-flat, however that symbol indicates to play B.

From your written description, I think it is a Breve rest.

from your recent link, it is a natural sign. Which would mean that any previous sharp or flat on that exact note, is nullified and played as a white key on the piano.

mmm okay thats not it.
It looks like a H which is sloping.
So the right hand side is lower then the left hand side and there is one more line in the center.
