It depends on the dress .I am 23 and I like wearing a dress with flip flops but I also like wearing sandals and heels as well. I also think it has to do with more comfort. I really dont like anything on my feet.

it actually depends on the dress. if it's a springy fun dress, it's in style to wear flip flops or sandals. if it's a dressier dress it looks better with stockings and the works. it's really a matter of modern fashion mixed with personal preference.

There is a time and a place for everything.
Flat sandals/flip flops are more practical if you are running around after children.
However dressing up for the office or a night out I will wear heels and tights (hosiery).

if the dress is casual, flip flops are fine. if it is dressier, I will wear heels.
