I think people who are happy drive people who are unhappy nuts! What do you think?

    I disagree. Happy people are fine, so long as they keep it to themselves. It's people that try and force their happiness on the unhappy that run the real risk of being stabbed.

    I disagree, Rosie. A truly happy person, ie a balanced and contented person, would be sensitive enough not to irritate someone who was unhappy. However, an unbalanced person who is not 'complete', could be insensitive enough to exhibit their false happiness infront of an unhappy person and drive them nuts!

    Damn, Rosie. I wish somebody else had asked this question! Anyhoo, I think most people find it difficult to relate to someone who is really happy all the time. It can make a person feel that the other person can't quite relate to the depth of their sadness or anger.

    I hope that doesn't sound like I'm advocating misery. But most of us don't have that chemical makeup in our brains like the happy folks do.

    I don't think unhappy people concern themselves with the happiness of anyone else. It's irrelevant to them.

    On the other hand, the only truly happy people I've ever encountered have been mentally challenged people. I think God gives them that happiness to help them cope in life. Many times I've seen those who are overly "happy" and euphoric. They seem desperate to convince everyone else of their happiness, their goodness and their worthiness. I don't think they drive anyone crazy. In fact, I think many of them are bi-polar. One moment intent on manically convincing the world (and maybe themselves) that they are happy and the next moment lamenting about how they are persecuted or how mean other people are to them. They vacillate between the highs and the lows -- sometimes within minutes.

    I think the best most of us can hope for is a basic satisfaction in our lives. I doubt that will drive anyone else nuts, but if it does we are most likely unaware of it.

    I would agree, but that is the fault of the person who is unhappy. If your happy should you not be happy all of the time. Just because someone you know is unhappy doesnt mean you should be misrable althought misery does love company
