I would say villian by far. His voice always seems angry to me and his villian roles had a bit better acting compared to his "hero" role in Snakes in a Plane... :)
-
I like him as a villain or at least "anti-hero." Like his roles as Mr. Glass in Unbreakable or Jules in Pulp Fiction.
-
He makes a great villain with those "crazy-man" eyes of his.
-
If he kept his mouth shut he would make a better actor. Personally my favourite role of his was in True Romance. He got shot before he got to start bashing our ears with one of his diatribes.
-
I am afraid to say this – but villain. I like him, but he has the look, with his eyes and clinched teeth that make him look angry and foreboding.

I love him in anything, buit hes such a good villain

he makes a good motherf#%&$@ beer

I agree, he is better at being a 'villan' or even an anti hero than a hero. After his appearances in Pulp Fiction and a small role in Goodfellas (yes he was in Goodfellas - I think the character he played was called Stax? - shot in the back of the head by Joe Pesci?), he was more comfortable at playing those type of roles.
-
definately villain.... come to think of it the guy does angry very well... - pulp fiction, die hard, jumpers, etc etc... has he ever been a hero?
-
Villian. I.e. Pulp Fiction
-
Neither. I like him better when he's not acting at all. Oh wait, that's almost every movie he's in.
-
I haven't seen him in a villain role so I don't really know. I don't think he was truly a villain in Pulp Fiction. I guess he is a villain in Lakeview Terrace but I haven't seen that one yet.

Villain - ala Pulp Fiction
