  • Good question. It is suspected by biologists that insecticides are the culprit. Frogs eat insects and may consume insects, dead or alive which have been exposed to these toxic chemicals. Birds are also victims.

  • People eating them, their habitats being destroyed, exposure to chemicals... many things that humans could care less about preventing. It's how all animals become endangered and then extinct. It's sad really.
  • Frogs are very susceptible to genetic mutations - that's part of their great ability to adapt. Watch for "new" species as well. Altough I must state that the loss of genetic diversity in Frogs could be detrimental to medical and genetic research.

  • Some kind of fungus that came from Africa. It was spread by using a certain species of frog for indicating whether a woman was pregnant or not. These frogs that were immune to this fungus were imported to the US and other countries and the fungus is now in many lakes and streams. Other types of frogs are not immune to the fungus and will die from it. http://www.savethefrogs.com

  • well there is a fungus that blocks there breathing pipes so they suffocate some frogs and toads are now on the verge of dying out!
  • i have a packman frog and a fish tank would do fine and clearn it out every other week or it will get red-legg wich is horrible
