I'd have fought for Texas! Although they wouldn't have needed me. No yankees ever tread on Texan soil. (Galveston is an island lol)

I would have fought for the independence and freedom of my country. I would have fought for a government of, by, and for the people. I would have fought proudly along side my Gread Grandfather. I would have fought for the Confederacy. I only wished I could have. Actually, I am still fighting for the South.
Someday, we wil gain our freedom. Maybe this year, maybe next year, maybe 10 years from now, maybe 100 years from now, but someday we will be free.

I wouldn't have fought at all, but I'd have supported the Union cause, definitely.

Although, I quite like what Bill Maher says about the South - "after much consideration... you can go." ;-)

I would've been fighting for my freedom and killing anyone who tried to impede it.

    Hello F:

I'm not a believer in owning another person, so I would have fought against it.. And, I STILL am.

Seeing as all my ancestors at that time lived in England/Scotland, I wouldn't have had anything to do with it. And seeing as I'm a girl, again, I'd have had nothing to do with it. And seeing as some US men didn't have such a huge fighting role in it, again... well, you get the idea. If I'd lived back then as a man in the US of A, I would not have had the education I've had and would not hold the views I have. So if I'd fought, I would have fought for whichever one most people around me thought was right.

Honestly, is there more than 2% of people who say they would fight for the confederacy?

I would disagree with Blar. There is probably at least a good 15%. and I call the "Civil War" the War of Northern Oppression. I would definently fight for the CSA. It is my home country. I am Floridian and Confederate.
