  • OK. I'm going to tell you my situation as a courtesy but I normally wouldn't do that... I've been in an extensive relationship and we have children. If it were up to me and there were no factors outside of what I want for myself it would be over today but it's a bit tricky. My s/o is stuck, just like what you're saying. With the kids in the picture it creates an atmosphere in which it is difficult to end it but without a doubt I know it is what I want. I've been trying to bring it to a conclusion in a way which I feel is the best outcome for all but It isn't easy to pull off. I've been very clear about my intentions. If your s/o wants to end it you need to come to grips with that and let him go. You need to understand that the only other option for you is to hold onto someone who doesn't want to be with you. In the long run, more damage will be done if you don't let him go. I know this may not be what you want to hear but I'm telling you as a friend and as someone who is on the opposing side of your situation. Someone will always come along to take his place. Let him go and find someone who desires you.
