How can the media , night after night, lie to the people about the government and not feel any remorse for it?

Simple. They don't think they are lying. They are telling you the truth, but it's the truth as *they* see it. It will differ from what you think is the truth on a given situation.

There are several variables to that. One is that you may not know what the truth is. Another is that you may be gleaning info from a politically compromised source (Fox news is notorious for that). Thing is, there job is to report it, not debate it. But some of them don't hesitate to place thier personal slant on things. I know WHY they do it, I just don't understand how they can think it's okay.

Same way Pastor's, Rabbi's, Priest's and all othe holy men do. They've deluded themselves into believing their own BS.

The same people who own the media also own the government. And if you can control the flow of information in a society, you can control public opinions and knowledge. They don't feel remorse because it's their cause. They believe it's for the greater good. They believe their agenda is the true and proper one.

What are you refering to and how do we know if they are lying?..I wonder how they can have so much that is just opinion when they are called the news.Too much fluff,I think it`s for ratings,and to make money.

Abuse ot 1st amendment right. Like a criminal taking the 5th. Our system isn't perfect but it will I hope keep working and protect the interests of the law abiding.

News is short hand for history... It's not cast in concrete. It's true as far as it is known. Granted, tomorrow something new might be revealed that rewrites today's headlines, but it's just wrong to say it is intentionally untrue.

Two things: They are not there to give you news, they are there to give you advertising and the corporation will always act in its own best interest, whatever they think it is. If you realize that it's all about money, it becomes very clear very quickly why they do what they do.

Real journalism is dead. Most media outlets are, at best, partisan in their reporting and, at worst, unapologetic mouthpieces for political parties. One only has to tune into MSNBC or Fox News to see left or right wing propaganda. Why do they do it? They are making money and controlling information for the powerful people who happen to run those networks.
