Help answer this question below.
I think it should be legal, taxed, and regulated.
They work great in a pinch. They are a heck of a lot cheaper then a girlfriend.
Since ever there were prostitutes and so thee will be prostitutes as long as mankind will exist.
It is quite similar with alcohol.
In the US they had prohibition and it failed.
Certain things people will always do and love.
So for me prostitutes belong to an open society.
i used to work as a driver for an 'escort' agency
basically we would drop the girls off at hotels and houses for sex with guys
the majority i met and talked too were very unhappy girls
they seemed to only do this kind of work to keep a drug habit or pay bills
only around 20 percent were in the 'business' to make money
and a few of them made a lot of money and managed to leave the agency with a lot of cash saved up
i am still in phone contact with one of them now and she has a nice big house and 2 kids and seems very happy now
i wish this was the case for all the girls i met - but sadly it is not......
live and let live, they want to sell thier services and someone wants to pay, thier are bigger problems to deal with than that. Its not a problem in nevada, because its legal!!
I would not condemn them but go and sin no more.
to each their own.
I don't mind them. I wouldn't get down woth a street hooker but I don't mind the good clean ones. You know sometimes you don't want to go to clubs and spend hours there to get a girl and when you take her home it turns out that she's still a virgin. And good prostitutes know what they're doing. you don't have to teach them anything.
They need to stop doing their dirty deeds in other people's car ports! As a matter of fact the profession should be made legal and practised in doors.
Before my girlfriend moved in with me, she lived in a club district, the prostitutes would hang out up the road from the clubs to service the guys who didn't get lucky...we would be mistaken for prostitutes from time to time by very creepy guys.
Making prostitution legal helps everyone.
It's illegal for a reason!
A prostitute is a victim of certain bestial elements in society. She is not necessarily immoral, but is driven to offer her body for sale because of certain circumstances in her life. In most cases another person lives off her "work", she probably getting only a percentage of what she's paid. Hers is a life of misery, "satisfying" many men but not being satisfied or fulfilled herself.
People treat a prostitute with contempt, which I think is extremely callous, treating her as a subhuman. But have you ever seen a prostitute cry when she's alone? I have. It's a heart wrenching experience. I was for sometime associated as a teacher with a home where "rescued girls" were given shelter. So I have come into contact with them, and heard their stories. The girls' ages ranged from 13 to 24. And underneath the veneer of hardness and "vulgarity" lies a a very sensitive and beautiful flower, unable to bloom, placing her trust, and herself, entirely in your hands, knowing that she would not be violated. It's a lovely feeling to have her trust you so entirely.
Please do not deride a prostitute. Have compassion for her. She's just as human as you are. She needs a touch of warmth just as much as you do. She's only doing her job because of the compulsion of her peculiar circumstances.
Just wish they werent fat and ugly here where I live
the ones in this town are skanky and drug addicts. i dont really understand why men want skanky and will actually pay a skanky woman for sex.
I think it should be legalized and decriminalized; I also think something should be done so that people become prostitutes of their own will and because they would sincerely like to, not because it's the only way to pay the rent, and so that they would be safer, but that's probably asking too much.
I feel prostitution should be legal, after all the way I look at it is you are not paying them for sex,you are paying them to leave.
Prostitution should be legal. I don't think that people should degrade prostitutes and say that they are horrible people.
feel that many of them are exploited to the point they are slaves. Think they carry diseases.
I have about as much feelings for them as i do plumbers.
Love them as long as its a one night stand only.
They shouldn't sell their body like that, it can and does have disasterus concequences.
Legalise.
Because the s/o will ALWAYS have a hangup about something you're curious about.
In a liberal world it is up to everybody if he uses the service of a prostitute.
Those who do not like it they just do not need to mention.
Unfortunately we have been treated long enough like a child by religious fanatics of all types and the real and worst enemies of freedom are those who want to force others to live after their life-style.
People have different views of life-style and as long as they harm or embarass other people they have without any doubt te right to live as they like.
Since those zealots were the greatest enemies freedom of they were political, moral or religious.
Exactly this type of people is attacking our western civilization.
I feel sorry for them.
Given that I am one, prostitutes don't bother me. We are just like everyone else. I pay taxes on my wages, I pay a mortgage and a car note....just like everyone else.
I think that prostitution should be regulated, taxed, and a health service set up just for them. Cops have a lot more to contend with than just girls getting laid by guys who are desperate / want some action.
Skanky and Aids infested in my opinion!
