Help answer this question below.

Is it wrong for an older man to date a younger woman? Why couldn't an older man and a younger woman make it work? She is 19 and he is 44. He tried to not get involved but her love and charm won him over. The one bothered by the age difference is the man

    It would work, but you would have to think of the future. When she was 30 and wanted kids he would be 55. Probably wanting to settle down, not starting a family.

    If he already has kids it would be harder. A step mother being young enough to be a sibling.

    And when he eventually dies she would be lonely becuase of that huge age gap.

    Love is good, and if it works... great! but there will be more difficultys along the journey because of the age difference.

    It seems to work all the time. I don't get why men always think they need to date so much younger, but I am not a man. I would not want a man that is looking for a younger woman on purpose. A 19 year old woman has little life experience and to me, is too young to get serious, period. But there are some very mature 19 year olds. I wouldn't get married if I were you until she is at least 25, good luck.

    It isn't wrong to desire a 19 year old lady when you are old enough to be her father. But as the previous reply pointed out, there will be issues that will come up due to the age difference.

    Can such a relationship work?

    That depends.

    Just what type (or perhaps - duration) of a relationship are you talking about having with the young lady? If you are going to be her lover for a time, and you both know that someday she is going to be settling down with a younger guy at some point, then go into the relationship with both eyes open.

    I wouldn't advise starting a relationship until/unless you both had discussed these aspects before you starting things out.

    Exactly. One time I ran into the beautifulest girl I have ever seen. She is not just beautiful, but in a pure way.

    She is in the neighborhood so I wrote her letters. I didn't know her so I gave her 3 letters at once, since I hadn't had the chance to deliver it the first few times.

    Then she called the cop. I didn't understand. I didn't have a single dirty thought or sexual motivation at all. She looks like a 20 even though she is in high school. I hoped she was 17 going to college next year, or at least 16 or very close to 16, otherwise I won't wait for her.

    My mental picture of her is an angelic being under some background light beams.

    I just want to find someone to settle and build a family with. If it won't work out, I am happy to be just friend.

    I am 29 who look like 20.

    The cop read my letter but couldn't find anything illegal, but he just reprimand me for having this thought of meeting a younger girl with a romantic interest.

    He also "strongly recommend" me to date only 25 and up. With his uniform and tone, I don't think it's a recommendation, but an order.

    I hope one day she and her family would understand that I am not a predator. Being an older guy doesn't make me a predator, but the society is quick to point finger.

    Okay, so the hormone driven kids around her aren't perverts, because they are the same age, so it is okay for people in their age to hit on her? How illogical and perverted this society has become.

    im 17, and im with a 33 year old. he is so nice. he doesnt want sex. he just wants to be loved. i see no harm in that. my mom works with the cops and my mom doesnt care. neither does my dad. its all about the love. i hope it works out with them. GOOD LUCK
