He sings that song 'I love college' right? I really dont think so, i think it's kind of an insult to Eminem to compare this kid to him. But ive noticed a lot of people doing it for some reason. Eminem has tons of deeper songs, like criticizing parenting, politics, the media. Does Asher Roth do that with his other songs? Ive not heard much.

Nope he is no where close to Eminem. Eminem's music has meaning to it, his is just stupid shit he is hoping will make him famous.

not even close. he also has a big disadvantage in that Black people like Eminem for the most part. Em managed to be successful in rap without insulting black people by trying to "act black". Asher has already screwed up by referring to black women as "nappyheaded hoes" on his twitter. he has since replaced it with an apology , but he is likely too late. besides, he is simply not good enough.

I'd never heard of him before this question. So, I went and listened to (most of) "I Love College". The beat just seemed to drag horribly. Eminem has a lot of energy, his music gets me pumped up. This guys song was putting me to sleep. Halfway through it, I was bored stiff and I gave up at the three quarter mark. I listened to a clip from "As I Em" because I thought that perhaps it was just the one song that I didn't care for. Nope, that one was boring as well. This kid is no Eminem.
